Pencil Piranha Studio

   C.M. Sapporitto currently resides in Warren, Pennsylvania where she was born and raised. She has always loved children's books. Some of her fondest memories are of her mother taking her to the library to pick out books and of her father reading bedtime stories to her.

   In 2003 Michelle graduated from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She has a certificate in copy editing and is in the process of completing the Writing for Children and Teens course through the Institute of Children's Literature. She also has experience in writing insurance appeal letters for the medical field, and creating training material for medical coding.

   Michelle's goal in life is to be silly with a purpose. The purpose being to write and illustrate children's books and resources for teachers in a way that makes learning fun.

   * Mysteries and Spy stories are some of her favorite books to read, and she is currently writing  

       and illustrating a spy series for children.

   * She likes comics and is writing and illustrating comics.

   * She loves to dance which comes in handy because she likes to cook and bake.

   * She enjoys comedy and believes that laughter is good medicine; therefore, she includes 

      watching at least twenty minutes of comedy into her daily routine.
